3DS release date and price info

At a tokyo prsesntation, Nintendo announced that the 3DS will be launching in japan on febuary 26th whilst it will arrice in western shores a month later (march). The handheld console will be sold for 25,000yen ($300) and be available in Aqua Blue and  Cosmic Black. Heres hoping for a fire red colour being available for its launch over here.

The 3DS is one sexy bit of machinery

So whats so special about this peice of hardware for it to be able to support what is quite a heft price tag? Well obviously its boast a 3D screen (hence the name 3DS) which does not require the user to where glasses. Gamers will also be ablke to watch movies in 3D, play games in 3D and take photos in 3D. It has also been said that 3D video chat is also available although that feature is unlikely t be available at launch. The nifty handheld also boast some impressive specs and some of the best looking games on any handheld device (Metal Gear Solid 3D: naked sample and Resident Evil Revilations).
